Baby who had surgery in the womb is born at Cardinal Glennon

"A baby born today at Cardinal Glennon Medical Center needed extra help to breathe, so his airway was opened before he was fully delivered.

While in utero, the baby had been diagnosed with congenital diaphragmatic hernia, which made his lungs abnormally small. He had surgery in the womb in October to expand his lung capacity."
