Hiker traverses nation for best trails

"Jack Bennett's most disconcerting moment in seven years researching the best hiking trails in America was being followed by a grizzly bear in Montana's Glacier National Park.

That was a moment his wife, Mary Fran, who was with him and more than a little nervous, will never let him forget, the 66-year-old Geauga County man said.

The quicksand in Arizona was a distant second, along with flash floods and foul weather, he said."
